ROSE 17

The 'Rose 17' is one of the most popular cocktails at our 17 Duke Street bar with its delicate floral notes alongside the excitement of fizz. The Simonsig Satin Nectar Rosé is a perfectly balanced, rich and fruity demi-sec; elegant and refreshing. This is complemented by our own Padstow Rose Gin with its delicate spice of pink peppercorns and the decadent scent of roses, not sweet but smooth and subtle.

Freeze your Padstow Rose Gin overnight, and chill the Satin Nectar Rosé too. You can use sparkling white if needs be but the Rosé is that much better in this recipe.

INGREDIENTS

25ml Padstow Rose Gin (deep frozen) | SHOP NOW >

125ml Simonsig Satin Nectar Rosé | SHOP NOW >

1 Fresh strawberry

Caster sugar

METHOD

Sprinkle 1mm depth of caster sugar evenly over a side plate.

Take a small slice of lemon and moisten the rim of a Champagne flute.

Dip the upended glass in the sugar and shake off the excess before placing upright again.

Add the Rose Gin and then top up with the Satin Nectar Rosé.

Cut a nick in the strawberry vertically and dress it on the rim of the glass.
